Huit Jours d'Absence. ou l'Hospice du Mont-Cenis. 4 vols. Each with an engraved frontispiece. Paris, A. Belin, 1821. Small 8°. Half leather with gold-stamped spines and red edges (heavily scuffed and bumped, some joints cracked).
Very rare. – Bearing the stamp of a Hungarian library. – The four copperplate engravings are by the French history painter Charles Abraham Chasselat, who also illustrated works by Voltaire, amongst others. – Some pages slightly foxed, minimal crease marks. Overall in good condition.
