XVIII, IV, 143 pp. Contemporary half-leather binding with title on spine (block slightly damaged). Schaberg 41. – Mixed copy from the 2nd revised edition with the addition on the title page: ‘An Attempt at Self-Criticism’ and the unaltered text of the first edition, comprising 143 pages rather than the 144 pages of the 2nd, final edition. - Cf. Schaberg 42, 20 and 30 – Krummel 60 – Vol. 1 (DS) not available in Weimar. - Title page bearing a handwritten signature, attached at the top to the front flyleaf, title slightly torn at the inner fold, a few underlinings, subheadings on the recto with a handwritten quotation from Dionysas, on the verso with full-page annotations; overall, a good copy of this rare edition.
