Art Deco Gaudin, Louis Abstract composition. Early 20th century. Gouache on vellum. 34.5 x 50 cm. Signed. - Slight tears at the edges, two tiny holes in the paper; the paint shows some fading and subtle scuffing; on the reverse, there are traces of a former mount and notes in pencil. Overall in good condition, with vibrant colours. Our drawing depicts an abstract composition, possibly a sketch for a theatre set by the French artist Louis Gaudin. Gaudin lived in the United States and produced, amongst other things, costume designs for Broadway. Gouache on vellum.
