Art Déco Parik, Arno Collection of 28 photo plates featuring a total of 145 designs for technical objects. Prague, Arno Parik a Spol, c. 1930. Gr.-8°. (24 x 18 cm). Loose cardboard sheets, perforated along the top edge. Original promotional photographs from the Parik studio featuring decorative designs for various technical and everyday objects (possibly for a company called ‘Juang’, as indicated by its stamp on the sheets) The images show table clocks, lamps, desk sets, ashtrays, caskets, lighter holders, photo frames and more. – The Parik photographic studio was one of Prague’s leading establishments for industrial and advertising photography. The studio was famous for its technique known as ‘American retouching’. This involved processing the negatives or prints by hand and using an airbrush to remove distracting elements, giving the photographed objects a flawless and futuristic appearance. The photographed objects are each numbered and accompanied by size specifications. – In good condition; the studio’s dry stamp appears on folio 31. Original advertising photographs (28) from the Parik Studio featuring decorative designs of various technical and everyday objects (possibly for a company called ‘Juang’, as indicated by its stamp on the pages). The images depict table clocks, lamps, desk sets, ashtrays, boxes, lighter holders, photo frames and more.
