Original cover bound in slightly later morocco with gold-stamped title on the spine. First edition. – A collection of eight fairy tales by Perrault, including Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood and Puss in Boots, each accompanied by a colour plate and numerous illustrations in the text by the French Art Deco artist Lucien Laforge (1889–1952). The imaginative drawings, featuring flat areas of colour, were coloured ‘au patron’ by the André Marty studio. - Browned due to the nature of the paper. Colours are vibrant.
