A magnificent Gospel Book in the tradition of medieval book illumination. – One of 400 copies (our copy is unsigned). – Baumgartner created a Gospel Book that was entirely handwritten and illuminated by his own hand. The theological and artistic significance of this magnificent work was so monumental that Manfred Müller, Bishop of Regensburg, presented a copy directly to Pope John Paul II during a special audience in Rome in 1995. – Also included: a collection of 3 signed original pencil drawings, 1 autograph letter, 1 autograph postcard with woodcut, 2 photographs and 2 illustrated exhibition catalogues: Locarno, Galleria Marino, 1967. - Alessandria, Palazzo Guasco, 1991.
