Art Nouveau Lobel-Riche, Almery Paris. Moeurs, Costumes & Attitudes 1912–1913. I. Les Bars. With an engraved title vignette and 10 drypoint etchings by Lobel-Riche, signed in the plate. Paris, Soc. d’Amis de la Petite Estampe Moderne, 1913. 12 folio leaves. Loose in an old leather-bound folder with a gold-embossed title and an inlaid, mounted cover illustration (somewhat dusty, partly stained and rubbed, in places somewhat more heavily bumped, joints split). Monod 7223. – Numbered copy, signed by the editor Charles Meunier in the foreword. – Each etching with a remark. – First edition of the first volume. - The large-format etchings depict the opulent Parisian lifestyle during the Belle Époque in a painterly style. In lavishly dynamic compositions, Lobel-Richie portrays distinguished Parisian ladies in magnificently elegant attire at social gatherings in Parisian cafés and bars. - Due to the nature of the paper, the margins are very faintly browned, with some crease marks and fingerprints in places.
