East German Art – Zylla, Klaus Bernhard, Thomas The Madmen – The Prisoners. With 29 (6 hand-painted in colour) signed screen prints by Klaus Zylla. Berlin, Edition der Galerie auf Zeit, 1994 (retouched in 2001). Imperial landscape folio. Original half-linen clamshell folder with handwritten title on the cover. One of 80 numbered copies, dated and signed by Klaus Zylla in the colophon, and bearing a dedication and signature by Otto Sander: ‘Read at the Galerie auf Zeit’ Otto Sander 11 December 1994. - The entire text, written by Zylla, and all the illustrations were produced using screen printing. The six sheets, painted over in gouache and varying from copy to copy, resulted in 80 unique books. - Also included: exhibition poster (70 x 50 cm) for the opening. Silkscreen print in an edition of 100, signed by Thomas Günther and Klaus Zylla (slightly bumped) and an original colour photograph (Klaus Zylla and the actor Otto Sander at the opening) by Thomas Günther (45 x 30 cm). One of 80 numbered copies, dated and signed by Klaus Zylla in the colophon, and bearing a dedication and signature by Otto Sander: “Read at the Galerie auf Zeit” Otto Sander 12/11/94. - The entire text, written by Zylla, and all illustrations were screen-printed.
