Feldman & Schellmann, II.308 (colour variant). - First edition featuring the vivid original colour silkscreen print ‘Kiku’ by Andy Warhol on heavy-weight vellum (20 x 28 cm), from the unsigned edition of 1,500, printed and published by the Gendai Hanga Centre/Modern Print Centre, Tokyo. The Gendai Hanga Centre in Tokyo asked Warhol to create a work on the theme of flowers for an exhibition in 1983. Warhol created a series of images inspired by the chrysanthemum (Kiku in Japanese), which is traditionally used as a symbol of the Japanese Emperor and the Imperial Household. – The screenprint is in very good condition overall. The screenprint is fresh and clean. A magnificent, richly coloured and velvety print of the full-format image. Featuring an original screenprint by Andy Warhol. - First edition featuring the vibrant original colour screenprint ‘Kiku’ by Andy Warhol on heavy wove paper (20 x 28 cm), from the unsigned edition of 1,500, printed and published by the Gendai Hanga Centre (Modern Print Centre), Tokyo. The Gendai Hanga Centre in Tokyo commissioned Warhol to create a work featuring flowers for a 1983 exhibition. Warhol produced a series of images inspired by the chrysanthemum (“kiku” in Japanese) – traditionally a symbol of the Japanese Emperor and the Imperial Household. - The screenprint and the item as a whole are in very good condition.
