Schiller, Friedrich ‘That You Awoke My Eye’. The Singers of the Ancient World. Naenie. With a coloured woodcut initial. Darmstadt, Dioskuren edition, 1922. 4 unnumbered leaves. Original thread-bound volume inserted into original cover with German title (the cover is slightly discoloured, with some crease marks in the corners). Extremely rare; currently only one copy is known to us in the international market and, according to WorldCat and KVK, only one copy is recorded (University of Pennsylvania). – Printed by H. Hohmann. - Presumably from a very small print run; title page numbered and monogrammed ‘HP’. - Slightly browned at the margins due to the paper. Overall, very well preserved. With colour woodcut initial. Darmstadt, Dioskuren Edition, 1922. 4 unnumbered leaves. Original cord binding inserted in original wrapper with title on the cover (the wrapper somewhat discoloured, somewhat creased at the corners). - Exceptionally rare; currently not verifiable by us in international trade and, according to WorldCat and KVK, only one institutional copy is known to exist (University of Pennsylvania). - Printed by H. Hohmann. - Presumably from a very small edition; the title page is numbered and monogrammed ‘HP’. - Some browning in the margins due to the paper. Overall in very good condition.
