Volumes 6 and 8–10 (of 12). With 315 (of 400) mostly old-coloured copperplate engravings, featuring a total of over 1,500 illustrations, as well as 323 (of 400) text pages. Weimar, Industrie-Comptoir, 1807, 1813, 1816 and 1821. Approx. 640 pp. (incl. title page and table of contents). Lex-8°. Contemporary paperbacks with handwritten Title on paper labels; the covers are bound in veined paste paper (endpapers replaced; bumped at the edges, corners and joints; scuffed in places). Overall, well-preserved copies; the copper engravings, carefully executed under the direction of H. Lips, are of genuine artistic value and mostly feature rich, vigorous and fresh colouring. A substantial partial collection of what is probably the most famous visual encyclopaedia for children of its time, containing 315 (out of 400) copper-engraved plates with fine hand-colouring and featuring a total of over 1,500 illustrations, as well as 323 (out of 400) text pages. - Bound in a contemporary cardboard binding with a handwritten title on the spine on a paper label; the boards are covered with veined paste paper (endpapers replaced, scuffed at the edges, corners and joints, and worn in places). - For references and detailed collation, see above. - Volumes 8–11 also contain title pages in French. Endpapers bearing library marks. Overall, well-preserved copies; the copper plates, carefully engraved under the supervision of H. Lips, are of genuine artistic value and mostly display rich, vigorous and fresh colouring.
