Braun, Isabella The Children’s Room in the Family Home. With a frontispiece and 8 lithographic plates based on drawings by C. Offterdinger. Stuttgart, Gebrüder Scheitlin, undated (1859). 8 leaves. Landscape 4°. Illustrated paper with title label (heavily rubbed and bumped, stained, with small missing areas in places). A very rare children’s book by the German children’s author Isabella Braun. – Braun’s first work, *Bilder aus der Natur* (*Pictures from Nature*), was published in 1849. In the years that followed, she published many more, and in 1868 she was awarded the Golden Medal for the Promotion of Art and Science by Duke Max of Bavaria. The lithographs in this volume were produced by Thomas Rothbarth after drawings by the painter and illustrator Carl Offterdinger. - Water-stained. Edges browned. Overall in good condition with lithographs in fine colour. With a frontispiece and 8 lithographic plates based on drawings by C. Offterdinger. Illustrated paper-covered boards with title on the cover (heavily rubbed and bumped, stained, with some small losses). – A very rare children’s book by the German author Isabella Braun. - Braun’s first work, *Bilder aus der Natur* (Pictures from Nature), appeared in 1849.
