The First World War – Ottoman Empire Photograph of General Arnold von Winckler and Enver Pasha, Minister of War of the Ottoman Empire. Circa 1916. 26 x 20.5 cm. Photograph of the German general and Commander-in-Chief of the 11th Army, Arnold von Winckler, at a meeting in Macedonia with the Ottoman Minister of War, Enver Pasha. During the First World War, the Allied nations fought together on the Saoliniki Front. At the same time, Enver Pasha was one of the principal figures responsible for the Armenian Genocide, which may have been indirectly supported by the Ottoman Empire’s allies. - Included: Photograph of Prussian military leaders. c. 1916. 20 x 28.5 cm. - Slight discolouration at the edges. Minimal staining. Well preserved overall.
