A collection of approx. 152 photographs featuring images from Minnesota, Missouri, New York and elsewhere, including Charles Lindbergh, aeroplanes, etc. Vintage prints. Predominantly silver gelatine prints. Various dates, circa 1925–1931. Sizes ranging from approx. 6.3 x 7.5 to 10 x 13 cm. Mounted and arranged in a contemporary landscape-format 4° album. Cloth binding (scuffed, bumped, stained).
From the estate of a former captain or lieutenant of the Holstein Field Artillery Regiment No. 24. – Opening group photograph with a handwritten note mounted on the inside cover: “The first meeting and founding of the Officers’ Association of the former Holstein Field Artillery Regiment No. 24 on 1 February 1919 at the Hotel Erbgroßherzog in Güstrow, Mecklenburg.” Including a list of all names and ranks. – The photographs, some of which are labelled, show, amongst other things: Lake de Montreville, St Paul, the estate of Mr M.W.
