Braun, Adolphe Trellis with flowering vines. Vintage. Albumen print. Circa 1870. Dimensions approx. 38.3 x 45 cm. Mounted on sturdier paper with rounded corners. Around 1853, Adolphe Braun, who had originally worked as a textile designer, turned his hand to photography. His photographic studies of floral motifs in particular were acclaimed by contemporary critics, who praised their richly detailed yet delicate depiction. - Somewhat stained in places along the edges; smoothed creases along the lower edge; otherwise generally well preserved.
