Music Portrait photograph of Elvis Presley. C-print. Circa 1960. Approx. 10 x 7.4 cm (15.4 x 11.4 cm). Stamped ‘Frank Driggs Collection’ on the reverse. Frank Driggs (1930–2011) was a renowned American music historian, music producer and passionate collector. Although his main focus was on jazz, his archive also included significant historical recordings from the genres of blues, country and early rock ’n’ roll. Photographs from the Frank Driggs Collection have been and continue to be regularly licensed for the cover design, booklets and accompanying materials of Elvis Presley releases. - Handwritten inscription and date on the reverse. - Traces of adhesive tape edges at the bottom margin; slightly creased in places; otherwise generally well preserved.
