Collection of 4 photo albums containing 160 portrait photographs. CdV. Vintages. Silver gelatine prints. Austria, c. 1900–1930. Mounted in 4 contemporary albums (3 identical, in various formats). Various landscape formats ranging from 8° to folio. Velvet-bound leporellos with monogram plaques (LH, amongst others) as centrepieces (one framed by putti) as well as ornamental and floral metal corner fittings (some of which are missing) (slightly rubbed).
Contains mainly portraits of children and documents, amongst other things, a girl’s development into a young woman. – Includes duplicates. – 8 further photographs enclosed separately. – Photographs by Nicolaus Stockmann (Vienna), Atelier Balde (Salzburg), Alfred Büsing (Graz), R. Martinelli (Graz) etc. – Some slightly silver-washed, otherwise generally in good condition.
