Extremely rare. - Official General Catalogue of the 1889 Universal Exhibition. (Paris, 1889). Vol. 2: Group II. Education and Teaching. Equipment and Methods of the Liberal Arts. Class 12. Photographic Prints and Apparatus, p. 15, no. 274. - A very rare publication by the Alsatian François-Xavier Voelcker, who specialised in photographing horses in motion and performing vaulting with a patented Goerz-Anschütz camera. He also published a series of his photographs as postcards. - Some photographs faded. Cardboard with foxing. Albumen prints generally well preserved. With 52 original photographs. Half-leather binding with gilt title on spine (rubbed and bumped). - Extremely rare. - A very rare publication by the Alsatian François-Xavier Voelcker, who specialised in photographing horses in motion and vaulting with a patented Goerz-Anschütz camera. He also published a number of his photographs as postcards. - Some of the photographs have faded. The cardboard is foxed. Overall, the albumen prints are in good condition.
