A collection of 14 old photographs, some of which are large-format. Mostly vintage prints. Albumen and silver gelatine prints. Circa 1870 – 20th century. Various formats ranging from approx. 15 x 19.3 to 66 x 47 cm.
Includes, amongst others: Emil Wangemann (1836–1892). Two photographs of French prisoners of war, mostly of North African origin, in Passau (Passau, 1870). Mounted on card. - Cf. German National Museum HB20776. - 4 portraits of the Viennese civil servant Anton Horak (C. Saitz Rosa Jenik) (one of which features the flag of the Deutschmeister Schützen-Corps). - Colour print by Hugo Silbergleit/Myslowitz (Myslowice). - Shepherds walking on stilts from the Landes department. - Seascape. - Sculptor at work. With blind stamp: Thea Warncke/Hamburg. - Young woman smoking, wearing a top hat (Photo Eclair/Geneva). - Brother and sister, signed W.E. Korling (?), dated 1925. - Coloured photograph based on a painting of Klopstock’s funeral. - Also included: approx. 20 reproductions (some stamped on the reverse: George Eastman House Collection, Walter Zorn/Dresden, etc.). - Some are slightly stained, discoloured and soiled, but otherwise generally well preserved.
