First edition of this compendium, which is very rare on the market. – Contains detailed descriptions, illustrated in 11 cases with sketched maps, of hundreds of listed mines, statistics on the ‘total yield’ Rhodesian gold mines and those in the Transvaal, as well as a dictionary of technical terms relating to mining and the stock market. - Endpapers and a 16-page appendix containing illustrated trade advertisements on sturdy yellow machine-made paper. - Title page and several pages with annotations in ink and pencil; otherwise a very clean copy.
