Modern half-leather with coloured paper covers. VD18 11041811. – ‘… born on 23 November 1732 in Waren (Mecklenburg), obtained his doctorate in Bützow in 1776, became an extraordinary professor of medicine there in 1777 and a full professor in 1784. Later, when the University of Bützow was merged with that of Rostock, G. remained in Bützow as a doctor and district medical officer, became court and personal physician, and died there on 5 October 1803.” (Hirsch-Hübotter II, 636) – Endpapers renewed.
