Half leather with gold-stamped spines (slightly rubbed). Index to Christoph Wilhelm Hufeland’s *Journal of Medicine*. Divided into parts 1–20, 21–40, 41–60 and 61–80. Hufeland initially worked as a doctor in Weimar and the surrounding area, like his father. Goethe and Schiller were among his patients during this period. He later moved first to Jena and then to Berlin, where he served as royal personal physician to Frederick William II and his family. In addition, he also headed the Charité as Chief Physician and Director. - Edges slightly browned. Well preserved overall. - Includes: *Journal der practischen Heilkunde*.
