Description
Medicine – Urology Schweitzer, Joh. Cornelius Friedrich A Complete Account of a Most Remarkable Illness, Accompanied by the Most Severe Gangrene in Certain External Parts of the Body: Together with a necessary refutation of various unfounded prejudices regarding this disease that have been publicly circulated. Wetzlar, no publisher, 1768. Large-format (28 pp., stapled). First edition of this rare treatise. – VD18 11008067 – Cf. Hirsch-H. Schweitzer was accused of having ‘treated in an incorrect manner’ a patient suffering from urinary or kidney stones accompanied by inflammatory fever. He later served as physician to the Prince of Nassau and, finally, as town physician in Wetzlar. - Faint watermark along the edge. This lot is subject to standard tax.
