Contemporary calf leather binding on 5 raised bands; title on gold-stamped morocco labels in the second compartment; gold-stamped numbering in the third compartment; the other compartments with rich floral gold embossing; the covers with blind-stamped filets, endpapers of marbled paper in a snail-marble design and two silk ribbon bookmarks (Vol. 1 with a small tear at the foot, spine scuffed, gold colour partly flaked off, edges somewhat stained).
