First edition, rare. - Lindner 11.0749.01. - Not listed in Nissen’s ZBI or Baege. - The beautiful plates, designed and engraved by Götz himself, depict various dog breeds and a floor plan of an English huntsman’s and dog-keeper’s dwelling. Alongside chapters on rearing, feeding and veterinary medicine, the focus is on presenting the breeds and types known at the time, their origins and their use in hunting or for economic purposes. - Pages 107–112 omitted from the pagination, but otherwise complete. - Slightly browned and with some light staining; a faint moisture stain at the beginning; the folded frontispiece is bound in as a copy.
