Zimmer Catalogue E. A. Ayer, 180–181. – Dubois’s *Synopsis Avium* was originally published in 17 parts. In 1902, the first ten parts were compiled into the first volume, and two years later the remaining seven were compiled into the second volume. The ornithologist and illustrator Dubois not only wrote the text for this edition, but also produced the chromolithographs himself. – Waterstains along the edges; margins slightly browned. Partially stained. Book block broken at the inner joint. Chromolithographs in splendid colour. Well preserved overall.
