Zoology – Zoologica Specifica A collection of 8 illustrations of bird species. First half of the 19th century. Each in watercolour and coloured pencil on vellum. Sheet dimensions: 22 x 14 cm each. 4 works, each labelled in French with the bird species in pencil. In addition, each bears annotations in pencil by a third party, including on the reverse. – Margins show slight creasing in places. Some storage and handling marks. Partial faint yellowing and very occasional light brown spots. Overall in very good condition. Extremely magnificent, lifelike and finely drawn views, rendered in brilliant colours.
