Railway Chemin de Fer de Paris à Strasbourg. 4 engraved maps with border colouring and routes marked. Paris, Logerot, c. 1852. Various sizes ranging from 37 x 81.5 to 37 x 106 cm. Each mounted on canvas in segments measuring approx. 18.5 x 11.5 cm. Folded into a marbled cover, housed in a contemporary paper slipcase with a gold-embossed spine label (both rubbed, browned on the spine and partially torn at the joints). Very rare. – Contains: Compagnie du Chemin de Fer de Paris à Strasbourg. Branch line, 2nd section from Pont-à-Mousson to the Prussian border. – Main line. 1st section, from Paris to Châlons. - Main line. 2nd section from Châlons to Nancy / branch line. 1st section from Frouard to Pont-à-Mousson. - Main line. 3rd section, from Nancy to Strasbourg. - On the reverse, each with a mounted Stamped label from the Atelier de Collage Auguste Logerot in Paris. - With stamp of the library of the Kaiser Ferdinand Nordbahn. - Cloth mounting stained and browned; paper slightly browned; occasional brown and finger stains; generally well preserved.
