Gastrosophy – Wine Gebrüder Illert G.m.b.H. An exceptional album containing original German wine, liqueur, juice, hotel and cheese labels. Approx. 4,200 labels mounted on 159 blue pages. (Hanau), Gebrüder Illert G.m.b.H., 1932–1960s. Imported folio-sized half-linen binding with a blue cover (slightly discoloured at the edges and slightly stained, slightly rubbed and bumped, spine reinforced with strong fabric tape). A unique print album containing thousands of original labels produced between 1932 and the 1960s by the German printing firm Gebrüder Illert G.m.b.H. The labels are categorised and arranged according to their origin, and many bear the date stamp of the day on which they were purchased.
