This autumn 2026, 160Foals is taking part in Longines Equita Lyon, the International Horse Show, with an auction featuring seven foals of exceptional pedigree.
Behind this project are two enthusiasts united by a shared desire: to strengthen the link between breeding and elite sport.
Benoit Dulac, founder of 160Foals, has nurtured a passion for horses for fifty years and seeks to identify future champions by combining genetic selection with in-depth data analysis.
Working alongside him is Nina Mallevaey, a top-level French rider and partner at 160Foals, who brings her sporting experience and expert eye for young horses.
“The philosophy of 160Foals is to select exclusively foals sired by exceptional mares, to maximise the chances of producing the champions of tomorrow,” explains Benoit Dulac.
“160Foals is truly changing the way we’ve always looked at breeding. We talk a great deal about stallions, whilst mares play an impressive role in shaping future sport horses,” adds Nina Mallevaey.
“Of course, it’s not an exact science, but a very thorough selection of maternal bloodlines can increase the chances of producing a horse capable of reaching the very highest level. 160Foals highlights the link between breeding and sport, and that’s what I particularly like about it,” emphasises the French rider.
