Description
No. 42 – LE PRINTEMPS (Lemoine 1905) One of the world’s first herbaceous hybrids. ‘Le Printemps’ is a single-flowered peony with 6 or 7 petals – depending on its mood – that are creamy white edged with carmine. The carmine-coloured bases of its stamens and stigmas contrast sharply with its bright yellow, pollen-laden anthers. Bees are particularly fond of this flower as it blooms early, in mid-April. It has broad foliage that remains a vibrant green until October. H: 80–90 cm COURTESY OF MAISON TRICOT IN ORLEANS
