Description
EXCELLENCE II
Her series was almost called ‘Croque-Soleil’.
This summer, some will set off by plane. Others by car. Or they won’t set off at all…
The bravest might set sail from a shipyard…
Offered for sale as part of legal proceedings, this Ginn Fizz 37 Ketch-type sailing yacht, built in the 1970s, is now awaiting a new owner, a passionate restorer or simply a lover of ambitious nautical projects.
Built by Jeanneau in the late 1970s to designs by Michel Joubert, this model played a major part in establishing the French shipyard’s reputation and remains, for many yachtsmen, one of the great classics of offshore cruising.
The vessel is sold as is. It requires significant restoration work, has partially dismantled interior fittings and is fitted with a Perkins 4.108 engine whose operation has not been checked.
The hull is currently in dry dock.
A viewing is strongly recommended.
For the optimists, this is a future cruising yacht.
For the realists, it is a wonderful restoration project. Perhaps simply a Croque-Soleil just waiting for a new crew. To each their own vision…
