Payment terms:
Please take note of the descriptions and photographs of the lots before making any purchase. The sale is always preceded by a viewing, so that you can assess the condition of the lots. Buyers have been given the option to place written bids or telephone bids directly via our website, without having to use online auction platforms. The auction fee is 24% (including VAT) for voluntary lots and 14.28% (including VAT) for judicial lots. Judicial lots are marked with an asterisk (*). Additional charges, as indicated on their platforms, apply to online bidders (Interencheres or Drouot LIVE). Payment can be made by credit/debit card, bank transfer or cash, up to a limit of €1,000 (including fees) per sales slip. Payment by cheque is not accepted. For online bidders, the credit card registered during your registration will be automatically debited at the end of the auction. Please notify us by email at the end of the auction if you wish to proceed otherwise. Collection of lots is by appointment only. The successful bidder is responsible for their lots from the moment the bid is declared. The Auction House cannot be held liable for any delay, damage, deterioration or loss of the item during transport. Under certain conditions, as set out by the ADAGP, the purchase of a work may give rise to the payment of a resale right. Under Article L321-11 of the Commercial Code, civil liability claims arising from appraisals and voluntary or judicial sales of movable property at public auction are subject to a limitation period of five years from the date of the auction or appraisal. This limitation is set out in Article 2232 of the Civil Code. In the event of a dispute, you are free to refer the matter to the government commissioner in order to seek an amicable resolution to the dispute. Lots belonging to L’Étude are marked with two asterisks (**). In the event of non-payment of your invoice, we shall be obliged to report you to the TEMIS register.
