BIANCHI - AUTOBIANCHI EDEN ROC - Type: Passenger car - Bodywork: CI - Fuel type: ES - Colour: WHITE - Odometer reading: 68,633 - First registration: 8 December 1965 - Power: 3 - Type: 110B122 - Seats: 2 - Not roadworthy - WITH REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE - Remarks: 1965 Autobianchi Eden Roc with a total of 68,633 km Collector’s vehicle registration document A bit of history: The Autobianchi brand was born out of the shared vision of the directors of the Bianchi bicycle company, Mr Agnelli and Mr Pirelli. Thus was created the brand’s first car: the Bianchina, based on the Fiat 500. Its bodywork was distinctive, and a convertible named ‘Éden Roc’ was offered by the Chardonnet network from 1964 onwards. It remained in production until 1969. Drawing inspiration from the 1950s, its tiny size (3 metres long) gives it a thoroughly charming look. Under the bonnet is Fiat’s two-cylinder engine, producing a modest 21 cv (which is just as well, given its weight of less than 500 kg). The model on offer was sold to a collector for 25,000 euros in finished condition, but the restoration was not completed as the garage went into administration. The bodywork has been stripped bare. The bodywork, running gear, mechanical components, tyres, hoses, cables and brakes… are all new or have been refurbished. High-quality restoration work has been carried out on 85 per cent of the car, but it needs to be finished. There are parts left to reassemble (new soft top supplied), cables and the wiring harness to connect, the mechanical components to get running again, and so on.... A few duplicate parts, a few missing parts including a window, the rear seat and door trim...... This is not an exhaustive list; we invite you to come and see for yourself so you can draw up your own list. As a classic car specialist remarked upon seeing it, what a shame to have stopped so close to the finish line!!!!!! An Eden Roc with this level of restoration is priced at the amount for which it was sold to the collector, i.e. around 25,000 euros. Who wants to finish restoring this French icon?
