Iconic vehicle
This iconic car, as famous as its big sister the Willis, was built for the French army from 1955 to 1966. It features specialised modifications. Notably, the electrical system, as these vehicles were fitted with two batteries and operate on a 24-volt system. Upon opening the bonnet, one can see a shielded ignition system designed to ensure interference-free radio communications. The model is identical to the real Jeep, with the exception that the windscreen wipers are powered by an electric motor rather than being manually operated, and a few aesthetic details, such as the toolboxes and the small welded sections on the front bumper, amongst others.
Condition: The model shown is in good condition; there is no significant rust. The braking system will need servicing, as the brake pistons will need replacing during a future service. The engine, gearbox, front differential and rear differential oils, as well as the coolant, will also need changing. It may be worth changing the spark plugs and recharging the batteries. The car has a number of items that have been added, including doors and an aerial mount with accessories.
