A lovely Vespa to restore.
A lovely Vespa to restore.
- The ACMA Vespa 125 is the French-licensed replica of the Italian Vespa.
- It was manufactured from February 1951 to 1958 at the "Ateliers de Construction de Motocycles et Accessoires" (ACMA) in Fourchambault, Burgundy.
- In 1953, the 100,000th scooter rolled off the production line, and by 1954 there were already 150,000. Technically, the ACMA was initially heavily inspired by the Italian Vespa VM/VN, but was soon fitted with a number of components specific to Italy (including Gurtner carburettors and Auteroche lights).
- 66,024 examples of the 1956 Vespa ACMA, model V56, were produced, with serial numbers ranging from 165,101 to 231,125.
- The example on offer, which is generally complete, is a base model in need of restoration.
