Description
1990 - Jaguar XJS V12 Cabriolet French historic registration title French historic registration title Chassis n° SAJNW4845LC166344 A perfectly maintained, low-mileage, and beautifully preserved Jaguar XJS A perfectly maintained, low-mileage, and beautifully preserved Jaguar XJS -Succeeding the legendary E-Type was no easy task, but the Jaguar XJS introduced in 1975 rose to the challenge with flying colours. Its original design, both racy and refined, marked a new era for the brand. More oriented towards grand touring, it combined British presence with modern elegance, asserting its own personality within the Jaguar lineage. - Exceptional in every way, this car was delivered new in 1990 in Minneapolis, USA, in this superb and rare colour combination. Re-imported to Europe in 2012, it now has less than 27,000 original kilometres. This low mileage explains its remarkable state of preservation. The paintwork is original, the leather, carpets and woodwork look as good as new, and the dark brown soft top adds an extra touch of refinement. - As a careful and meticulous owner, this car has benefited from a full service. Carried out in November 2023 at a cost of more than €9,000, the list of work included, among other things, the replacement of the TDC (major mechanical maintenance to make the engine more reliable and improve starting), the water pump, the front suspension silent-blocks and the exhaust system (now in stainless steel), as well as a complete overhaul of the fluids and alignment. - The car passed its roadworthiness test just before being sold, and it is faultless! Of course, the car is accompanied by its original documentation, service book and manuals, its period tool kit and a French collector's card. - Under its long bonnet, the prestigious 5.3-litre V12 delivers first-class performance. Supple, powerful and remarkably smooth, it was accompanied by an unprecedented level of comfort and silence, muffled by its stainless steel lines. Its particularly high level of finish, rich leather interior, heated seats and electric soft-top, perfectly illustrate the brand's craftsmanship and establish the XJS as a truly exceptional GT, combining power, luxury and serenity. Maintained with meticulous care, the car recently underwent a comprehensive service in November 2023 at a cost exceeding €9,000. The work included, among other items, replacement of the top-dead-centre sensor (ensuring improved reliability and easier starting), water pump, front suspension silent blocks, and complete stainless-steel exhaust system, along with full fluid renewal and geometry adjustment. A recent roadworthiness inspection (French contrôle technique) was passed without a single remark.
