Description
1955 - Citroën 2 CV AZ French registration title French registration title Chassis n° 167492 A 2CV with a curved bonnet and centrifugal clutch! A 2CV with a curved bonnet and centrifugal clutch! - Sometimes it's the simplest ideas that breed the greatest successes. Launched in 1948, the 2CV was the embodiment of the popular low-cost car, a car whose career would not end until forty years later. - Citroën developed its two-legged model further, enabling it to last for decades. Initially, it weighed just 800 kg, consumed very little fuel, could be completely dismantled, had four independent wheels, suspended canvas seats and was available in a single colour, grey. - It underwent a number of evolutions, and its engine grew from 425 to 602 cm3, all the way up to the 2 CV 6, the most powerful. - The car illustrated on these pages was professionally restored less than 10 years ago, and recently underwent brake work. With its accessory curved trunk and optional dashboard clock, it also benefits from the very playful centrifugal clutch. - First production 2CVs are becoming hard to find in good condition and at reasonable prices. Our example is worthy of interest for a 1950s model. - Sometimes, the simplest ideas lead to the greatest successes. With its accessory bulged trunk lid and optional dashboard clock, it also features the highly entertaining centrifugal clutch. - - Early-series 2CVs have become increasingly hard to find in good condition and at reasonable prices. Our example is a particularly interesting representative of the 1950s models. Est. 10 000 - 15 000 €
