British elegance in its rarest and most accomplished form
British elegance in its rarest and most refined form.
- This car is extremely rare and its prestige is without equal. Only 25 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur 'Centenaries' were produced worldwide to celebrate the centenary of the British motor industry and the 100th Rolls-Royce to leave the Crewe factory. The original model, known as the 'C 100,000', was presented to the Queen of England with a number of upgrades that made it a model that surpassed the expectations of the most demanding customers.
- The example we are offering is the 16th produced and the only one registered in continental Europe, in Monaco to be precise, by Luis Miguel del Campo Bacardi, Lord of Bayfield Hall! Genuinely second-hand since 2005, it was purchased directly from his widow, Milady Del Campo-Bacardi, by its current owner, an eminent collector of the brand.
- The only 'Centenary' in original left-hand drive, our example is in near mint condition. The coat of arms of the Lord of Bayfield Hall still appears on the car's rear doors, and a silver plate screwed onto the glovebox lid certifies its authenticity. We are also in possession of its 'Factory File' (Construction & Test Records) and its purchase invoice dated 25 July 1985, for the sum of 723,120.00 Francs!
- In regular use and always perfectly maintained, no work is required. The tyres have recently been changed, and all the mechanical servicing has been carried out by the brand's acknowledged specialist, the Américo garage in the Paris region. The trim leveller, exhaust manifold, air conditioning system and fuel pump have all been serviced recently.
- The car's appointments, its build quality, its comfort and its many details, such as the bar with its silver flanges and crystal glasses, the rear doors trimmed with the same woodwork as the dashboard, and the woodwork inlaid with silver fillet, make it a unique model. Of rare nobility and singular refinement, it will appeal to the aesthete collector.
This car is exceptionally rare, and its prestige is without equal. Only 25 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur "Centenary" were ever produced worldwide to celebrate the centenary of the British motor industry and the completion at Crewe of the 100,000th Rolls-Royce. The very first example, known as "C 100 000", was presented to Her Majesty the Queen of England, featuring a number of special upgrades that elevated it beyond the expectations of even the most demanding clientele.
The example offered here is the 16th built, and the only one ever registered on the European continent - precisely in Monaco - by Luis Miguel del Campo Bacardi, Lord of Bayfield Hall. A genuine second owner since 2005, the current custodian acquired the car directly from Lady Del Campo-Bacardi, the widow of its distinguished first owner and herself a member of the Bacardi family.
The only "Centenary" originally built in left-hand drive, this car remains in near-new condition. The coat of arms of the Lord of Bayfield Hall still adorns the rear doors, while a sterling silver plaque affixed to the glovebox lid certifies its authenticity. The sale includes the factory records ("Construction & Test Records") as well as the original purchase invoice, dated 25 July 1985, showing a price of 723,120 French francs.
Driven regularly yet always meticulously maintained, it requires no work of any kind. The tyres have been recently replaced, and all mechanical servicing has been carried out by Garage Américo, a renowned Rolls-Royce specialist near Paris. The self-levelling system, exhaust manifold, air-conditioning, and fuel pump have all been overhauled in recent years.
The craftsmanship and appointments of this car are outstanding: a built-in bar with silver flasks and crystal glasses, rear doors trimmed in matching walnut veneer, and inlaid silver fillets within the woodwork - all details that make this example truly unique. Of rare nobility and remarkable refinement, it will undoubtedly appeal to the discerning collector of taste.
