In the same hands since 1974!
In the same hands since 1974!
- The Jaguar E-Type was launched in 1961 with the Series 1, elevated to iconic status for its revolutionary design and exceptional performance! It was an immediate success, particularly in the United States, and in 1968 a Series 2 was introduced to meet the demands of that market. Changes were made to the headlamps, cooling system and powertrain to comply with the new safety and pollution standards.
- At the end of the 1960s, Mr C. travelled around Europe in his Jaguar E-Type Series 1 3.8 Coupé. As a young family man, the practicality of a Jaguar coupé became almost non-existent... It was in 1973 that he came across the new version of the E-Type that he loved so much, on the streets of his neighbourhood. The Jaguar factory had fulfilled his dreams: the elegant coupé had been extended to accommodate two extra seats!
- After putting a note on the windscreen, many months passed, until a call in early 1974: on 6 May, the car was finally registered in his name. The car could now accommodate the children in the back, but its speed continued unabated, with a top speed that put the original engine block to shame on a trip from Paris to Lyon... This car was already in its current elegant colour, although it had been delivered new by Brossel in Asnières in Sable.
- Today, the car is still in the same loving garage... Since 1974, it has been pampered by Mr. C. as it was on its first day! It was given a full paint job in the early 2000s (with a few traces of corrosion on the underpinnings), and meticulous, regular maintenance has always been the order of the day. The result is that this car runs like new, and wonderfully so.
- Collectors, this is a moving time machine that has spent the last 51 years in the loving hands of a genius inventor. If you're looking for a car to cover the miles in style, look no further.

It was completely repainted in the early 2000s (there are a few traces of corrosion on the underbody), and it has always been meticulously and regularly maintained. The result: this car runs as well as it did on the day it was new, wonderfully well.
