- Genuine, highly sought-after 1093 version
- Fifth car produced

- Ideal for historic racing
- No reserve
According to a copy of the 1093 production register, this Dauphine 1093 is believed to be the fifth example produced, which gives it particular significance amongst the early cars in this series intended for competition. The current owner, a modern and historic rally driver and a great connoisseur of the Renault brand, acquired it around ten years ago and subsequently undertook a refurbishment of the upholstery. According to information available on Histovec, the previous owner appears to have kept the car for nearly nine years, making it possible to trace a significant part of its history.
The car is now fitted with a front-mounted fuel tank and a five-speed gearbox (353 version) sourced from an R8 Gordini; the latter is particularly sought-after as it is well-suited to dynamic driving. The original gearbox is also included with the car, allowing the next owner to refit it should they wish. This Dauphine runs superbly and is currently in an attractive overall condition, both aesthetically and mechanically. A collector’s item as it is one of the earliest production examples and notable for its specification, this Dauphine 1093 is a particularly charming example of this iconic French sports car.
