Painted in ‘Gris Gallet L440’, it remained in Sweden until 2011, when it was purchased by a German collector. It was from this collector that Guido Hommel acquired it, drawn in by the exceptional condition of this interesting variant. Indeed, the bodywork has never been repainted, the upholstery is original, whilst the carpets have been refitted. One need only look under the car to see the quality of the work carried out. With 89,904 km on the odometer at the time of our inspection, this superb Beetle is fitted with a working period Blaupunkt car radio and aftermarket headrests; it also underwent a valuation in 2024.
