Description
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Manufacturer: Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Vehicle registration document: German registration certificate Chassis No.: Chassis No. WMX1973771A004105 - Only one owner since new! - Less than 34,500 km on the clock - Up-to-date servicing - Rare ‘Sapphire Red’ colour (ref. 434) from the show car at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.   A true tribute to its predecessor, the majestic 300 SL, the SLS coupé shares its architecture: a two-seater coupé with a front-mounted engine and gullwing doors. Naturally, the powertrain bears no resemblance to the 6-cylinder engine of its predecessor, as it has been designed by AMG, which has fitted it with a naturally aspirated 6.3-litre V8 engine producing 571 ch at 6,800 rpm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 317 km/h! With only 5,000 units produced (4,000 coupés and 1,000 convertibles), it is a collector’s item, and as soon as it was released, it was clear to our collector that one had to take its place alongside his 300 SL Gullwing. The car was therefore ordered in the name of the company ClimAir, which took delivery of it at the end of 2010, before registering it in January 2011. Guido Hommel confirmed to us that he had been its sole driver throughout all these years, and we were able to see just how skilfully he handled it. Its beautiful bodywork is finished in a rather unusual shade: Sapphire Red (ref. 434), which was the colour chosen by the manufacturer when the model was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. Inside, the upholstery is finished in black leather, and numerous options enhance the driving experience: automatic climate control, an AMG performance steering wheel, a memory pack for the driver’s seat, steering column and wing mirrors, a DVD player… Stunning, elegant and ferocious, this SLS had an original mileage of 34,094 km at the time of our inspection, and it will undergo a service at Mercedes prior to sale. Accompanied by manuals, including one for the Nokia mobile phone housed in the centre armrest, this exceptional coupé boasts a spotless history, consistent with its present condition, low mileage and a provenance from a connoisseur. All these qualities set this vehicle apart from its peers. German title Chassis no. WMX1973771A004105 - Only one owner since new! - Less than 34,500 km from new - Up-to-date service history - A rare ‘Sapphire Red’ colour (ref. 434) from the show car at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.   2010 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG 6.3   A true tribute to its predecessor, the magnificent 300 SL, the SLS adopted the same layout: a two-seater coupé with a front-mounted engine and gullwing doors. Needless to say, its engine bore no resemblance to its predecessor’s straight-six; it was developed by AMG, which fitted its naturally-aspirated 6.3-litre V8 producing 571bhp at 6,800 rpm, delivering a 0–100km/h time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 317km/h! With only 5,000 cars built (4,000 coupés and 1,000 roadsters), it is a model highly sought after by collectors, and as soon as it was launched, it was clear to our client that one of them had to take its place alongside his 300 SL Gullwing. The car was duly ordered in the name of the company ClimAir and delivered at the end of 2010, before being registered in January 2011. Guido Hommel confirmed that he was the car’s sole driver throughout this period, and we were able to witness his skill behind the wheel. Its beautiful bodywork is finished in an unusual colour, Sapphire Red (code 434), chosen by the manufacturer for the model’s debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. Inside, the upholstery is finished in black leather, and a host of options enhance the driving experience: automatic air conditioning, an AMG performance steering wheel, a memory pack for the driver’s seat, steering column and wing mirrors, a DVD player… Beautiful, elegant, yet powerful, the SLS had clocked up 34,094 km from new when we inspected it, and it will be thoroughly checked again by Mercedes before being sold. Supplied with its manuals, including the one for the Nokia car phone housed in the centre armrest, this extraordinary coupé has a clear history that is consistent with its appearance, low mileage and discerning previous ownership. All qualities that set this car apart from its peers.
