Just 7,300 km on the clock, a single owner since it was bought new, an enviable specification, rare accessories, a full set of documents and a major service due in May 2026 – all of which contribute to making this Porsche Carrera GT one of the most attractive examples available on the market.
Produced in November 2004, this Carrera GT was purchased new from the Porsche dealership in Francorchamps, Belgium, in late 2005, when it had 59 km on the clock, as our collector was unable to find one in France. It therefore bears the original code ‘C22’, used for cars delivered new in Belgium.
As evidenced by the number engraved on the centre console, this is number 440 out of a total of 1,270 units produced; finished in metallic grey (GT Metallic Silver, code LM7Z), it is equipped with several very interesting options such as a more powerful battery, headlamp washers, height-adjustable XT Carrera GT bucket seats, tyre pressure monitoring, an anti-theft device, air conditioning, a ‘Porsche Online Pro’ CD radio, and, above all, the special luggage set crafted from ‘Ascot’ leather in Terracotta to match the superb interior upholstery – beautifully made and comprising a briefcase, bag, suit cover and small pouches that fit inside the doors, corresponding to option code 577.
The owner of this Carrera GT is a business executive who collects fine things and is a car enthusiast, as well as a semi-professional rally driver (having competed in the Dakar Rally several times between 1992 and 2024, including a seventh-place finish in 1998, and a victory in 2008 at the Tunisia Rally in a Schlesser buggy), and a helicopter pilot (he owns an Écureuil); he is therefore particularly well-versed in the use of a car as sophisticated as this Carrera GT. He first registered the car in Luxembourg before registering it in France in 2011. As a Porsche enthusiast, he has always treated the car with care and maintained it to the highest standards; as indicated by a stamp in the service booklet, he sent the car for a service at Porsche Stuttgart in April 2012, when it had 6,790 km on the clock. His work commitments have left him with insufficient time to make full use of the car, and he is selling it due to a lack of time. Remarkably, he is the only person to have driven it since it was bought new, and during the major service carried out by the Porsche Centre in Vélizy and entrusted to one of the centre’s specialist mechanics, the clutch required only a simple clean as it was still in perfect condition, which is testament to the care taken when driving this car. This service involved checking all mechanical components and replacing anything that needed replacing, with the total bill amounting to 71,852 euros. Certain components that require particular attention on this model were replaced at the same time; for example, the shock absorbers were replaced, as were the alternator and the starter motor. The tyres are new and are the correct fitment for this very specific model. As recommended by the manufacturer, the camshafts have been replaced.
Thanks to its careful use, this Carrera GT is now in an impressive original condition, including the interior with its iconic Terracotta leather trim (code RZ), which is remarkably well-preserved, complemented by carbon fibre door panels and black carpet. It comes with its original luggage, an expert’s report, its service invoices and its logbooks (Warranty/Service, Technical, Online Pro, Becker system).
It is worth noting that, following the reorganisation of the Porsche range with the launch of the Cayenne in 2002, the Carrera GT was unveiled at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show after making its first appearance as a concept car at the 2000 Paris Motor Show. It was a supercar designed to compete with Ferrari, Lamborghini and Mercedes and, as such, it benefited from the most advanced technologies developed by the Stuttgart-based manufacturer. Its composite chassis was fitted with a body masterfully designed by Harm Lagaay, racing-inspired suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes and an engine derived from a Formula 1 project. Completely re-engineered for road use, this 5.7-litre V10 produced 612 ch, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 330 km/h. Added to this exceptional performance was the pleasure of an open-top driving experience, thanks to its two-piece removable roof.
The example we are presenting here does justice to the technical and aesthetic standards set by Porsche’s engineers. As one of the last first-ownership Carrera GTs available on the market and in remarkable original condition, it represents a unique opportunity to acquire one of the finest examples of this legendary car – if not the finest.
