This 2.2S was delivered new in Italy on 28 October 1970; at the time, it was Pastel Blue (code 2010) with a black imitation leather interior (code 1) and fitted with Michelin tyres. In the mid-2010s, a Parisian dealer acquired the car and commissioned a high-quality restoration at Autoelite near Modena in Italy. Nothing was left to chance: the bodywork was stripped back and repainted in its original colour, the mechanical components were dismantled and completely rebuilt, and the upholstery was also refitted with Recaro seats and Pepita fabric. The result is absolutely superb – and with good reason: in 2022, the current owner fell in love with it at first sight and gave it to his wife as a gift. Since then, the car has been used sparingly and remains in a condition very close to that of when it came out of restoration.
This superb Targa therefore ticks all the boxes for enthusiasts of this model. It is the most powerful version, features a superb and rare original colour, still has its original engine, has undergone a high-quality restoration, and comes with numerous invoices as well as important documents such as the Porsche certificate and a copy of the datacard.
A model rarely restored with such care, this 2.2 S Targa now presents a particularly cohesive whole, combining superb presentation with meticulously refurbished mechanics. Its documented history, original engine and restoration carried out in keeping with its original specification make this a particularly desirable example, ready to hit the road in the hands of a discerning enthusiast.

Since then, the car has rarely been driven and remains in pristine condition, much as it was when the restoration was completed.

Its documented history, original engine and restoration faithful to its original specification make it a particularly desirable example, ready to hit the road in the hands of a discerning enthusiast.
