1975 – Saab 95 V4 Estate Chassis no. 95753001662 Swedish registration certificate ‘7-seater!’   In early 1959, Saab entered the family estate car market with a model unique to the company that year. The 95 had only two side doors but offered seating for seven, including a folding bench in the boot facing backwards.   From 1966 onwards, the Saab 95 was fitted with the Ford 4-stroke V4 engine, boosting sales, overall reliability and the car’s responsiveness. On a curious note, the gearbox features a ‘freewheel’ mode… which would not be retained in future models!   Our example was purchased in 2022 in Sweden by the current owner, a keen collector of cars of this type! The car had been restored from a long-abandoned vehicle.   Today, the car is in good overall condition despite some signs of corrosion around the windscreen frame. Behind the wheel, it’s a very pleasant car to drive and easy to handle! Please note that since 2022, the car has been serviced by the current owner’s personal mechanics.   A bargain price for a superb little runabout with unrivalled charm!
