Description
1930 Citroën AC4 COMMERCIAL TORPEDO Chassis No. 105.009 Beautifully restored Iconic model Collector’s registration certificate The Citroën C4 was originally called the AC4, in reference to André Citroën 4, to distinguish it from the 1925 C4, which was never produced. The letter A was soon dropped, and ultimately only the C4 suffix remained. It was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 1928 to replace the ageing B14, whose export sales figures were falling sharply. Citroën designed a more powerful, more comfortable vehicle, very much in line with American standards, which proved a huge success in every country. The example we are presenting here is a 1930 Commercial Torpedo. It was fully restored in the 2010s. Brought back to working order and serviced in 2024 following its acquisition, this Torpedo is a fine example, now rare in this condition. 1930 Citroën AC4 Commercial Torpedo Chassis no. 105.009 Exquisite restoration Legendary model French collector’s registration (Carte grise de collection) The Citroën C4 was initially called the AC4—referencing André Citroën 4—to distinguish it from the 1925 C4, which never went into production.
