Description
1986 ALPINE GTA
Vehicle registration document: French
Chassis number: VFAD50005G0030004
• Documented service history since 2011
• Major mechanical and electrical overhaul carried out in 2021
• Routine servicing carried out in October 2025
Unveiled at the end of 1984 as the successor to the A310, the Alpine GTA (Grand Tourisme Alpine) marked a new era for the Dieppe-based manufacturer. Designed to offer a particularly low drag coefficient of around 0.28, it features a body made from composite and polyester materials mounted on a spaceframe chassis. In its V6 GT version, the D500 model, it is powered by a 2.8-litre PRV V6 engine mounted at the rear, producing 160 chevaux and mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The car on display is an Alpine GTA V6 GT, delivered new on 15 May 1986 and finished in Blanc Nacré.
This car comes with a service history documenting its mechanical maintenance since it was acquired by its current owner in 2011.
As has been observed on some models in the GTA range, the instrument cluster has been replaced twice during the vehicle’s lifetime, due to faults affecting the dashboard. The available historical records suggest that the actual total mileage is approximately 120,000 km.
In 2021, the car underwent a major service covering the mechanical components and the electrical system. More recently, routine maintenance was carried out in October 2025 to ensure that the various systems remained in good working order. The bodywork and interior are in a condition consistent with that of a car which has been regularly maintained.
Presented in its ‘Blanc Nacré’ colour, this 1986 Alpine GTA V6 GT stands out for its documented service history dating back to 2011, a major mechanical and electrical overhaul carried out in 2021, and a recent service carried out in October 2025. Its total mileage is estimated at approximately 120,000 km, taking into account the successive replacements of the instrument cluster.
