Description
1960 MG A 1600 ROADSTER Collector’s registration certificate Chassis no. HDKB16609 Origin: United States Roadster version Mechanical overhaul in 2026 Produced between 1955 and 1962, the MGA made Morris Garages the leading manufacturer in the British sports car market. It was fitted with a four-cylinder engine of 1,500, then 1,600 〖"cm" 〗^3, delivering power ranging from 68 to 108 chevaux in the most sophisticated models. From 1955 onwards, 80 per cent of production was shipped to the United States, where its top speed of 100 miles per hour and affordable price made it a highly popular, elegant sports car. The example we are offering is a 1960 MGA 1600 Roadster. Originally from the United States, it was imported in 2011 and joined our owner’s collection in 2022. It underwent a major restoration in France following its import; a comprehensive photo dossier is available on request (invoices not included). This vehicle underwent a mechanical overhaul costing 5,000 euros in June 2026, including, in particular, a new ignition harness, a set of rear shock absorbers and engine servicing carried out by Jekyll Motors. The red upholstery is in good condition and complements the cream-coloured bodywork perfectly. Please note that the soft top has a slight tear and that a few paint imperfections indicate a previous restoration. The test drive proved successful, as evidenced by its pass in the MOT test. Please note an error in the transcription of the chassis number between the registration document and the chassis. The number on the registration document is HDN 7/B 16609, whilst the one on the chassis is HDK-B/16609. This is the ideal choice for the enthusiast seeking the authentic pleasure of open-top driving, with a configuration that has stood the test of time. 1960 MGA 1600 Roadster Collector’s registration certificate Chassis no.
