Description
1971 LANCIA FLAVIA Chassis: 004438 - Designed by Pininfarina - The last Lancia before the takeover by Fiat - An original alternative to the Alfa Romeo coupés - Original technical solutions Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1969, the Lancia Flavia 2000 succeeded the coupés designed by Pininfarina and followed in the footsteps of the Italian marque’s golden era prior to its takeover by Fiat. Elegantly designed, it combines taut lines with a refined interior, typical of the great tradition of Italian grand touring. Technically, it retains the distinctive architecture of the Flavia range, based on a flat-four (boxer) engine mounted in a front overhang, combined with front-wheel drive, which gives it safe and balanced handling. In its 2000 carburettor version, the engine develops 115 chevaux, offering smooth acceleration and a very refined driving experience. The car on display was delivered new in Belgium in November 1971, where it spent most of its life before being imported into France in 2023. Maintained ever since by Etoile Services garage in Sauvigny-les-Bois, a major mechanical overhaul was carried out in February 2026, involving the removal of the engine, replacement of the valve guides and inspection of the components. This work is documented by an invoice and a photo file. A test drive of around ten kilometres revealed a delightful car, true to Lancia’s tradition of combining comfort and performance. 1971 LANCIA FLAVIA COUPÉ 2000 Chassis: 004438 - Designed by Pininfarina - The last Lancia before the takeover by Fiat - An original alternative to the Alfa Romeo coupés - Original technical solutions Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1969, the Lancia Flavia 2000 succeeded the coupés designed by Pininfarina and continued the legacy of the Italian marque’s golden age prior to its takeover by Fiat.
